How do I…search the catalog?

The Jesup is a member of Minerva, which allows patrons to search not only the Jesup’s catalog but also other libraries throughout the state of Maine. To search the Minerva catalog click here

To search just the Jesup’s books, choose Jesup Memorial Library from the list of locations under the search bar or to search all libraries in the Minerva system keep the location list at “ALL MINERVA LOCATIONS.”

How do I…access my account?

Click here to login to your Minerva account. You will need the name on your card (first and last) as well as your patron barcode. This is the number that begins with 24609 and is below the barcode. If you do not have your card or cannot find your number, call us at 207-288-4245 or email info@jesuplibrary.org.

How do I…request or place a hold on an item?

To request an item from the Jesup you can call the library at 207-288-4245, or email info@jesuplibrary.org to place a hold or request an item through Minerva.

To request an item in Minerva, sign into your account and then search for the item and click on the title. Then click request. If the item you are looking for is not at any Minerva library you can also search MaineCat by clicking the MaineCat button on the Minverva page that says “Search MaineCat.” If MaineCat has the item then you can request it using your library card.

If the item you are looking for is not in Minerva or MaineCat, call the library at 207-288-4245 or email info@jesuplibrary.org and we can try to find it from another library.

How do I…get a library card?

Stop by the Jesup to get a library card. All you need to bring with you is one form of ID.

Any local resident, homeowner, or College of the Atlantic student can get a library card free of charge.

The Jesup also offers seasonal cards for anyone visiting the area of living here temporarily.

How do I…use a Computer, Printer or WiFi?

Contact the library at 207-288-4245 for printing and computer use information. WiFi usage is available outside the library.

The Jesup has computers for free public use, anyone can sign up for a half-hour block (you may be able to sign up for longer depending on computer usage that day). Computers also have word processing features if needed as well.

Printing is available from any Jesup computer. All printing is 20 cents a page, and increasing depending on paper size.
