  • Jesup Memorial Library 34 Mt. Desert Street Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 (map)

What puts a narrator into a position of being "dialed into" a text? Is it just talent? Is it grueling word-by-word analysis? Well, it's a few things and Audiobook Narrator Matt Haynes will reveal seven of them. Get ready to enjoy an eye-opening (and ear-opening) experience: Seven before-and-after scenarios where a text is first narrated serviceably, then narrated mindfully. You may never hear audiobooks the same way again.

Matt Haynes is an award-winning and Audible Approved narrator with over 140 titles out. Born and raised in Maine, Matt was inspired to become a theatre major after many transformative experiences of acting in Mount Desert Island High School. Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Skidmore College, he went on to work as an actor in The Other Portland which he now calls home.

“Audiobook Narration is a dream job. Much like in the TV series Quantum, Leap, I get to the voices and worlds of everyone from real-life experts and autobiographers, to colorful casts of fictional characters from around the... universe! Narration truly puts the Lively in Livelihood.” - Matt Haynes
