Calling all girls in elementary and middle school! The MDI branch of Girls Who Code is meeting every Wednesday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Jesup in the side yard under the tent for the month of October (or on Zoom in the event of bad weather). Stop by, join them, learn skills, have fun and make friends! The MDI Club is led by Sirohi Kumar, an MDIHS student, and Sue McClatchy, who teaches computer science and works at The Jackson Laboratory. Girls Who Code is a national organization dedicated to increasing the number of women in computer science by offering programs and clubs to young girls around the country. The clubs provide girls with a basic knowledge of computer science they can develop and hone with more experience. Girls Who Code is open to all, regardless of coding experience.
