Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series: GoldenOak on Sun. Jan 7

Listen to a mix of indie, folk and soul music at the first concert in Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 2 p.m. with Portland-based duo Zak and Lena Kendall, better known as GoldenOak. GoldenOak are known for their carefully crafted songs featuring flowing harmonies and poetic lyrics. The duo has won awards for their music, most recently the “EP of the Year” at the Portland Music Awards for their EP “Foxgloves” in December.

The Jesup’s Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series which features concerts once a month on Sunday in January through April. Then in February, on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 2 p.m. join jazz group Mes Amis. March’s concert on Sunday, March 18 at 2 p.m. features the talented students from Conners Emerson and Mount Desert Elementary School for a concert featuring the ShowStoppers! and Swallowtail Fiddlers. Finally in April 8 at 2, join pianist Edison Liu for the last concert in the series.
