Mango Online Language Learning Program

Learn a new language – or dozens of them! – for free, courtesy of the Jesup Memorial Library. We provide our patrons use of the Mango online language learning program, which offers courses in 57 languages for English speakers and 17 courses in English for those wishing to learn or refine their English language skills.

The Jesup is happy to offer patrons free access to Ancestry.com — on patrons’  own laptops or tablets, or on one of the Jesup’s computers — at the Jesup using the library’s Internet.

With Ancestry Library Edition, more than 7,000 databases are available to you for genealogical or historical research — birth, death, and marriage records; immigration records; censuses; family histories; military records; court and legal documents; directories; photos; and maps.

Marvel! Maine’s Virtual Library

Thousands of magazines, newspapers, and reference books are available anywhere in the State of Maine through the online resources of MARVEL! Maine’s Virtual Library, a service of Maine InfoNet.

Jesup Memorial Library Vertical File

A compilation of material, mostly local but including some information about people, places, and events throughout Maine. Many of these items are one-of-a-kind or no longer available through other venues.
