The Jesup Memorial Library is the scene of the crime on Friday, Oct. 27 and Saturday, Oct. 28 for the third annual Murder by the Book. Come join 12 mystery, suspense, thriller and true crime authors for readings, talks, workshops and book signings. There will be a keynotespeech by internationally best-selling author Tess Gerritsen at noon on Saturday. The authors coming for Murder by the Book are Brenda Buchanan, Dorothy Cannell, Richard Cass, Bruce Coffin, Sarah Graves, James Hayman, Vaughn Hardacker, Maureen Milliken, Katherine Nichols, Stephen Pickering and Lynne Raimondo.
On Friday, Oct. 27 at 5:30 p.m. join all of the authors for a wine reception while Gerritsen, Sarah Graves, Brenda Buchanan, Bruce Coffin, Vaughn Hardacker, James Hayman and Maureen Milliken read from their unpublished works-in-progress. Then on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. the Jesup is a haven for all things mystery and murder. There will be panels, workshops and book signings. All the events on Saturday are free and open to the public.
