March on Mount Desert Street on Tues., March 5

Beat the winter blues, have fun and enjoy a free meal at the annual March on Mount Desert Street Progressive Dinner on Tuesday, March 5 starting at 5:15 p.m. This event, which is open to the public, brings together the nonprofits and churches on Mount Desert Street.

First from 5:15 to 5:30 p.m. students from the Conners Emerson School will present a play at the Abbe Museum to get you ready for the evening. Next it’s on to the YWCA MDI for appetizers from 5:30 to 6 p.m. and then walk across the street to St. Saviour’s to sample an array of salads from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Your next stop by be Jesup Memorial Library for soup and bread from 6:30 to 7 p.m. Finally, finish this sweet meal with a tasty dessert at the Congregational Church at 7 p.m.. You won’t want to miss this delicious tradition on Mount Desert Street!
