Kids, families, and people of all ages can create their own wax hand candle holder at a special intergenerational craft time at the Jesup Memorial Library on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 6 p.m. Join Liz Cutler, of ArtWaves, who will show you how to create this unique and personal piece of art.
Each participant will dip their hand in warm beeswax while holding a candle. Then you dip your hand in a few more times, encasing your hand and creating a candleholder. After a few snips you have a cool piece of art that you can keep or give as a gift.
This event is free and open to the public. This is part of a series of events with ArtWaves and the Jesup. There will also be a botanical Sip ‘n’ Print on Friday, Jan. 11 at 7 p.m. and an intergenerational glass mosaic craft on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 6 p.m. For more information about this event contact the Jesup at 207-288-4245 and for information on ArtWaves visit artwavesmdi.org.
