Poetry with Carl Little and Gary Rainford

April 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Join poets Little and Rainford as they share their work. Little, who has written many art books, is also an accomplished poet and is the author of “Ocean Drinker: New & Selected Poems.” His poems have appeared in many anthologies and journals, including The Paris Review, LOCUSPOINT, Down East and Off the Coast and recently have been featured in Maine Sunday Telegram‘s “Deep Water” series and “Poems from Here” on Maine Public Radio. Rainford is the author of “Salty Liquor” and “Liner Notes.” He is currently working on “Seven Springs,” a new collection of poems that tell the story of his mother’s first year living with Alzheimer’s disease. These poems square off with the bitter reality, “To grow old is to lose everything,” the opening line in Donald Hall’s poem, “Affirmation.”
