Photo Workshops with Mike Leonard sponsored by the Bar Harbor Whale Watch at the YWCA MDI
August 23, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Learn to instantly take better photos on your camera and cell phone at series of talks at the Jesup Memorial Library with Mike Leonard of “Photo Tourism by Mike.” There will be three sessions with Leonard, on Friday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Jesup Memorial Library and Friday, August 23 at 7 p.m. at the YWCA MDI. These talks are co-sponsored by the Bar Harbor Whale Watch and are before the Whale Watch’s lighthouse tours.
Bring along a camera for this hands-on workshop and Leonard will walk attendees through the easy changes they can make instantly to take better photos. Each session will break down things that are seen as difficult photography concepts and attendees will leave the session knowing much more about how to use their camera. He will talk about exposure, white balance, using the HDR setting, basic composition and more. Leonard will also highlight free apps that everyone can download on their cell phone to improve images on the phone as well.
Leonard’s work is frequently seen in books, magazines, annual reports, brochures, textbooks, in television segments and nationally on the Weather Channel. Some of his work has also been seen on the National Geographic Wild program.
Come to one session or come to all of them. These talks are free and open to the public and registration is not required.
