Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series: Jazz with Maxx Meether and Friends

Join Maxx Meether and Friends for the kick off of the Sundays at the Jesup Concert Series on Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2 p.m. at the Jesup Memorial Library. The group will play jazz and includes Meether on the drums and Bailey Giles on the tenor saxophone. They have been playing together since they were in fifth grade.
Meether, who is from Hamden, Maine, has played the drums since the age of 11 and started playing jazz in middle school. He is currently enrolled in the Hartt School of Music at the University of Hartford studying jazz performance. While in Hartford, he plays at music venues such as Black-Eyed Sally’s, Real Art Ways, and Prospect Cafe. Giles is from Newburgh, Maine started playing the saxophone in the fifth grade. He is in his second year at the University of Southern Maine and is studying music performance. In Southern Maine, he has played at One Longfellow Square and Blue as well as the Stone Mountain Arts Center.
This concert is free and open to the public.
