Mongolian Adventure Talk and Slideshow with Lois Maltais

January 25 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Mongolia is one of the world’s truly wild places and one of the last frontiers of adventure travel. It is a country of incredible diversity of ecosystems and traditional cultures.

Lois Maltais will present a talk on her 3 week journey through Mongolia, from the high Altai Mountains in the Western province of Bayan-Ulgii, to Hovsgol Lake National Park bordering the forests of Siberia in the North, and through the central steppe to the Gobi Desert in the South. Her experiences included staying with the Nomadic Uuld and Kazakh families, hiking and horse trekking, witnessing how a Golden Eagle is trained, kayaking a crystal-clear alpine lake, and exploring the many National Parks.
