Age by Design: Author Dr. Dianna Emory “Bonding with Nature: Responding to Life’s Challenges and the Aging Process –The Transformational Power of Our National Parks, Community Preserves, and Your Own Backyard”

May 19 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Bonding with Nature helps the reader maintain the critical connection to the natural world and her creatures throughout life – even when life challenges, medical issues, trauma, or normal aging interfere.  Emory describes, and supports through research, how creative approaches to interacting with nature in our homes, backyards, local lands, state and national parks, or other green spaces can carry us through challenges, especially when combined with meaningful relationships, volunteer activities, healthy food, exercise, relaxation techniques, and visualization.

Dr. Dianna Emory is a retired psychotherapist, educator of mental health and medical professionals, naturalist, athlete, cancer survivor, and volunteer leader of organizations working on behalf of national parks, conservation, and human health.
