Contra Dance with Big Moose Band on Sat., Feb. 23

Join Big Moose Band for a rousing evening of contra dancing with caller Chrissy Fowler on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. This month’s dance features a free, family dance from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. where beginners, families and nondancers can learn the dances beforehand and then put them to music in a friendly, judgement-free atmosphere. Starting at 7:30 p.m. the regular contra dance will be begin and all dances will be taught. This is a great time to have fun and dance the night away. There is an $8 requested donation for all adults and kids ages 12 and under and College of the Atlantic students can dance for free. The maximum requested donation for families is $25.

The Big Moose Band provides the amazing music that you will dance along with. Big Moose features some of the area’s finest musicians including Ruth Grierson, Keith Davis, Jim Vekasi, Charlie Richardson, Fred Benson, Ed Damm and Anne Damm, among others.
