Children are invited to join Miss Mae at the Jesup Memorial Library for two fun story times in May. First, on Saturday, May 12 at 1 p.m. children ages four and older are invited to dress to get messy and do some fun science experiments. Then, on Wednesday, May 16 at 6 p.m. children ages three and older can dress in their pajamas for a Margaret Wise Brown-themed story time.
On Saturday at 1 p.m. we will be doing three science experiments with water and color. First, we’ll learn how to turn primary colors into secondary colors, then we’ll make our own chromaphotography and finally, we will make bubble bottle.
For Wednesday’s pajama story time, we will read books by Margaret Wise Brown, the author of “Goodnight Moon.” We will read her new book “Good Day, Good Night” as well as “Little Fur Family” and “Goodnight Little One.” Then, using animals from the story, we will decide which animals are big and which are little. Finally, everyone will make their own little goodnight bunny to take home.
