The Jesup Memorial Library’s 49th Annual Book Sale gets underway on Saturday, Aug. 18 at 9 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. This year all sales, except for books in the specials room and baked goods, are by donation. Support the Jesup and browse thousands of books, grab a baked good, take a chance on the raffle and bid on the silent auction.
And, if you want to beat the crowds and have first pick of everything, you can also purchase tickets to the Jesup’s Prologue Sale on Friday, Aug. 17 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. During the Prologue Sale, enjoy hors d’oeuvres and refreshments, bid on silent auction items and listen to music from Beech Mountain Project. Tickets to this fundraising event at $25 each and can be purchased in person at the Jesup, by calling 207-288-4245 or online.
The book sale continues during regular hours from Tuesday, Aug. 21 until Saturday, Aug. 25.
Volunteers are needed before, during and after the sale and we’d love your help. Volunteers are needed to help sell books the day of the sale and help move books again on Saturday, Aug. 25. All volunteers receive free tickets to the Prologue Sale on Friday.
For more information or to volunteer, please contact the Jesup at 207-288-4245.
