Iona to Durham – Early Christianity in the North of the British Isles on Fri. Feb. 9

Katharine Thompson’s trip through Scotland and Northern England had her visiting the early sites of Christianity in the region. Join her at the Jesup Memorial Library on Friday, Feb. 9 at 7 p.m. for a talk and slideshow about her trip which started on the island of Iona in Scotland and ended in Durham in northern England. This journey traces the early Celtic tradition and saints across Scotland and Northumbria including Saint Columba, Saint Margaret of Scotland, Saint Cuthbert and Saint Aidan of Lindisfarne.
